The offerings made for divine blessings, long life, good health, and prosperity are called Dravya Samarpanam (material offerings). For Goddess Saraswati, it is considered especially auspicious to offer items such as lotus flowers, lotus garlands, jaggery, raw rice, oil, ghee, and similar sacred materials.
